![]() ![]() Moving on, the giant beetle boss is what made me change the difficulty for casual, I really didn't want to activate god mode but please:Įxtend the invincibility frames given by certain attack's hits, this boss is the most guilty of this problem since both his charge and laser attacks, if they hit you, can stunlock you into several additional hits. This makes the fight go on for way too long. This is problematic for the laser attack: if you don't have already picked up a ring, it becomes freaking hard to avoid this attack due to its duration.Īlso for the love of everything that is good please lower the dragon boss's charge, you cannot reliably hit him multiple times unless you run up the walls (which is actively discouraged by two of the boss's attacks). Using cyclone locks you out of using dragon charge for a bit. The dragon boss, I believe the laser attack needs to be changed, since it is impossible to pick up the rings without using cyclone, unless you are at the edge of the stage, which most of the time you will not be since the homing shots that precede the laser attack are guaranteed to hit you if you go up the wall. I think the game also needs some tweaks in other fights. ![]() My God I just noticed how big my post is, apologies The last fight against Serpentine feels like a properly done fight, challenging but with a clear pattern that allows you to understand the enemy. Sometimes it just comes up without any animation, sometimes if doesn't even do damage.Īll things considered, I think most of the attacks could be fixed if they had an additional tell that shows the upcoming attack while giving the player a bit more time to react. His knife grab attack is.really really weird. Laser shoots have odd tracking (again, this might just be my imagination at this point though) Enjoyes staying out of the screen in order to surprise you His knife attack comes up extremely fast, the first time you fight him you are guaranteed to take the extremely painful hit. It's hard for me to explain but they just don't feel like they track you properly. Its dashing attacks comes up almost instantly, not terrible for Lilac, extremely hard to avoid as Carol Way too many attacks that make the boss stay out of your attack range, more than difficult, it's just makes the fight tedius and too reliant in waiting. Unpredictable, without any semblance of a pattern. Regarding the second fight, the orange mech suit: The machine gun/missile barrage, DEAR LORD I just don't even. The stage is way too small compared to the one in which you first fought against the ship, limiting your mobility and making the lasers more annoying and hard to dodge I honestly don't understand why there are no springs for this fight. Right from the start you get prompted with several warning signals, this first attack isn't bad if you are playing as Lilac, but with Carol you just can't dodge it without using your kicks and take the hit. ![]() Second encounter against the battle ship: Regardless of what character I'm using, I just feel like I'm not even supposed to avoid the attacks, just gotta abuse invincibility frames and pray to outdamage the boss.Ī lot of people have already commented on the fight against Milla, so I might as well express my opinions on the final boss rush: This version of Sonic the Hedgehog: Spinball differs from the Genesis version as the stage layouts are different among other changes.Starting from the fight against Milla, the bosses just take a huge hit in quality. The game also offers a one last chance to return to the game after running out of lives by having the player attempt to stop a spinning number wheel on a four digit number that matches the player's last four digits of their current score. During this portion of the game, Sonic can find items that will reward him with things like extra time, points, rings. There are also the Bonus Cage special stage that can be played after a stage boss is defeated. ![]() In stage 1 and 2 Sonic must collect 3 chaos emeralds, and 5 chaos emeralds in stages 3 and 4, in order for a chance to fight the stage boss. The levels consist of typical pinball fair such as bumpers, flippers, annd drop targets which open up gated parts of a stage. Sonic will have to get through the Toxic Pools, Lava Powerhouse, The Machine, and The Final Showdown to take down Robotnik. The game consists of four pinball stages. #Sonic spinball boss run freeNow it's up to Sonic the Hedgehog to free his captive animal friends and put a stop to Robotnik's plans. He has set up a pinball security system for this factory to keep all the captured animals from escaping. Robotnik plans on turning the animals of Mobius into robots by using his volcano powered Veg-O=Fortress factory. ![]()
